Num-Num Foods for Your Dog

Bigby's tired of dry food. I'm sure your dog might be too!
So, I've been mixing in shredded cheese, peanut butter, carrot slices and rice. I made a really disgusting looking carrot and peanut butter mixture. To Bigby, though, it's the best thing in the world!

Next time, instead of your dog's regular dry or canned food, try some of these new foods.
Make sure to introduce them very slowly because dogs sometimes have trouble adjusting to new foods.
Also, make sure to ask your vet for recommendations because some dogs have allergies.

Try these three:

  • Baby Carrots. They're great for your dog's teeth, low in calories and high in Fiber. Some dogs don't chew small carrots and get an upset stomach,so talk to your vet. First, try shredding the carrots to see if you they like them. That way, if they don't chew the carrot, they won't cough and they'll be able to swallow it easier
  • Peanut Butter. It's great to fill their Kongs with and lots of pups love a little spoonful for a special treat. It's also great to hide medicine in (most of the time). Bigby loves it to hide his Seizure Medication in.
  • Yogurt. Yogurt is yummy (especially when you freeze it) and healthy for dogs. Make sure that the yogurt has no added flavor, fruit, sugar or anything else. Bigby loves it when I put yogurt in a paper cup and freeze it with peanut butter and mashed banana.

Here are some great foods to try:
